Why 28 days? It’s a multiple of seven, used so many times in the Bible. God created the heavens and earth in 7 days; God forgives us 7 × 77 times; Festivals such as passover took place over 7 days. Seven symbolizes spiritual perfection, completion, and divine fullness.
